Our aim is to encourage players of all ages and abilities to join us so that we can develop the section both in terms of competitive cricket and on a more relaxed social basis.
Who can play?
Cricket is suitable for all ladies, no matter of age, level of ability, fitness or experience. We have a wide age group of players including young girls, teenagers and ladies. Its for anyone with a positive mindset who wants to enjoy this wonderful game played in its spirit. The ladies complete in the Southern Cricket League which consists of the strongest teams on the circuit.
The origins of this section stem back 13 years ago, when they called themselves Headstone Manor Girls & Ladies Cricket Club. Having successfully won the London Youth Games several times and with many girls representing Middlesex County squads at all age groups the club went from strength to strength. The ladies section in 2011 decided to amalgamate with Harrow Town Cricket Club and it continues to grow today.
In 2016, Sky Sports were at the club and did a preview on the ladies. To view the video please copy and paste this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CzrPRD3uX0
What will I need?
To play in a match you will need cricket whites, (shirt, trousers and jumper). The club has its own personalised cricket shirts and caps available. As we play with a hard ball, all under 18s are required to wear a helmet when batting or wicket keeping.
Outdoor training will take place from May through to early September 6pm - 8pm
Anil Karia (Level 3) is the head coach and has already made a significant impact on the section.
